The truth about waxing
Waxing. Everybody’s least favourite treatment. I must admit I’m a massive wimp when it comes to leg waxing and avoid it at all costs. But when it comes to bikini waxes I’m surprisingly braver. Lycon wax originates from Australia, home of beaches and bikinis so it make sense for those Aussies to invent( in my opinion ) the most painless wax around.
Lycon waxing treatments offer an effective yet comfortable experience. From start to finish, you will be sure to have a clean and easy waxing treatment.
There are a variety of products to suit every client whether they have sensitive skin, stubborn hair or fine short hair.
At the beginning of your treatment a pre waxing oil is applied this will soothe the skin and make the waxing comfortable. As the hot wax is applied in small strips they simply cool on the skin and are then removed, no need for strips so the pain is minimal. At the end of the treatment a soothing oil is applied to calm and moisturise the skin.
Of course with all waxing treatments it is also important that you follow the aftercare advice:
1. No sunbathing or sunbeds at least 24 hours after waxing
2. Avoid tight restrictive clothing
3. Do not apply any false tan, lotions, oils or deodorants to the area treated
4. Avoid hot showers or baths for 24 hours(as the wax as created heat in the area any additional heat may cause burning or a heat reaction)
5. Avoid swimming or exercising for 24 hours(any friction on the area may cause a reaction)
There are so many choices nowadays as to which treatment to go for. From regular bikini to hollywood waxes there’s something for everyone. so i’ll elaborate a little on each:
Regular Bikini- A tidy up. Anything outside the underwear is removed.
Thong or Extended Bikini- This is a high leg bikini wax perfect for swimwear or higher cut underwear
Californian-A very neat bikini line. All the hair is removed from the top and sides.
Brazilian-This leaves a very thin strip of hair on the top of your bikini line while everything else is removed
Hollywood-All the hair is removed. Everything.
So if you’re planning the summer holidays already or just simply thinking about it, waxing doesn’t have to be a scary as you think. You’re in safe hands. I promise!
